The 2014 Lumpinee Ww champion Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong entered this fight with a professional record of 106-29-5 (29 knockouts) and he is ranked as the No.2 super welterweight in the world. He lost to #1 Robin van Roosmalen last year (controversial decision van Roosmalen vs Sitthichai) but then he has won three consecutive fights beating Enriko Gogokhia in his last bout (=Sitthichai vs Gogokhia 2).
His opponent, the black belt in karate and former Glory Lw champion Davit Kiria, has an official kickboxing record of 24-10-0 (13 knockouts) and he entered as the No.4 in the same weight class but he comes off the loss against Enriko Gogokhia (=Kiria vs Gogokhia). In their first bout Sittichai defeated Kiria in two rounds (June 5, 2015 – Kiria vs Sitthichai); this second fight is the semifinal of the Glory lightweight contender tournament – undercard of Rico Verhoeven vs Mladen Brestovac – Glory 28.   1. Dabs, another interesting fight for you with a big mismatch between records and experience. If you are the guy deciding if these two fighters could engage in such a fight you may cancel it. However, the losing guy was ranked # 2 and is the former world champion in this category in spite of having what you may consider a bad fighting record.
