Review: the fight between Somsak Sithchatchawal and Mahyar Monshipour has won the title of fight of the year of 2006 (Ring Magazine). “Little Tyson” Monshipour for the sixth time defending his WBA World super bantamweight title and was the favorite since it had not lost since 1998, fighting in his mother country and for the Thai Sithchatchawal this fight was the first chance for a world title. This awesome fight took place in Levallois-Perret, located on the outskirts of Paris, FRANCE. The promoters, and management/camp of Monshipour, the two Acaries brothers Louis and Michelle, can be seen in the main angle used throughout the fight. They are wearing glasses, whereas the young man wearing a suit and white dress shirt to their right, Sebastien, is the second generation of this boxing family. They are noticeable due to there pronounced reactions during the fight.
AWESOME FIGHT! I speak French and the commentators were absolutely awful, totally sold our for Monshipour. It was a joke, they were saying the Thailand guy was being destroyed! I’m glad the KO came because I think there would have been an injustice.Thanks for making me discover this great fight!!!
