Review: 2014-04-05, pretty boring fight between Satoshi Ishii and Philip De Fries: it gets two stars. Satoshi Ishii entered this fight with a professional mma record of 11-2-1 (45% finishing rate) and he is ranked as the No.30 heavyweight in the world, he is a black belt in judo (6th dan) and he won the gold medal at the 2008 Olympic games of Beijing (+100kg division). He suffered his last defeat in 2011 when he faced Fedor Emelianenko (=Fedor vs Ishii), since then he has collected seven consecutive wins and in his last bout he won the IGF Hw title defeating Kazuyuki Fujita (=Ishii vs Fujita).
His opponent, Philip De Fries, has an official record of 10-3-0 (90% submission victory rate – he has never won by ko/tko) and he entered as the No.43 in the same weight class, he fought in the Ufc from 2011 to 2013 but he lost three out of his five bouts and he was released, after his last Ufc fight he fought just once defeating Brett Rogers at IGF Inoki Bom-Ba-Ye 2013 (=Rogers vs De Fries).
