(We had rated this fight three stars but after watching it again we have changed our rating – June 11, 2013). The undefeated Jonathan Maicelo ranked as the No.25 lightweight in the world, entered the fight with a record of 19-0-0 while Rustam Nugaev had a record of 22-6-1 (Nugaev is not ranked as he hasn’t fought since July 2, 2011 when he defeated Shavkat Madaminov). Maicelo vs Nugaev is valid for the vacant USBA lightweight title. Watch the video!

Please correct the result: it reads: Jonathan Maicelo def. Rustam Nugaev (KO punch at 2:03, round 8 ). It should be the other way round.
