Compubox stats

Near perfect career management for Fury.
he had gotten the title from Klitshko in one of the most pathetic and boring “fights” in history, where both fighters exchanged 7 punches per round.
He knew that he would lose the rematch, and that it would be the end for him due to the pool of talent that he would have to face in order to get back to a title shot.
So he pleaded mental illness to get out of the mandatory rematch, and waited for the heavyweight division to get restructured.
He came cback to face only the right fighters at the right time. Wilder was a borderline amateur fighter who had been matched with tomato cans, and built as a big hype. Fury manged to get 3 money fights with this paper champion.
Eventually, knowing that he would have to face the top crop of the division at one point anyway, Fury decides to cash-out in 2 money fights with the smallest heaviweight possible that wouldn’t be able to seriously hurt him due to the big size difference.
This is boxing nowadays. You can’t even make that shit up. Definitely not “prize fighting” anymore. They took out the fight out of the prize.
