The former WBC, WMC, WPMF and two-time Lumpinee Stadium champion Yodsanklai Fairtex entered this fight with a kickboxing record of 202-71-4 (79 knockouts) and he is ranked as the No.3 super welterweight in the world. He suffered his last loss when he faced Artur Kyshenko in 2011 (4-stars-fight, Kyshenko vs Yodsanklai), since then he has won 31 consecutive fights beating Yuan Bing, Luis Regis and Andy Souwer in his last three (Andy Souwer vs Yodsanklai Fairtex 2).
