Review: the third fight between Marco Antonio Barrera and Erik Morales was the fight of the year of 2004 (Ring Magazine) and one of our favorites. They had won once each, the first fight won by Morales (fight of the year of 2000) and the second one by Barrera. The “Baby Faced Assassin” Barrera was at his first fight in the super featherweight division and wanted to snatch Morales WBC title. Review: 2003-11-15, the first fight between Manny Pacquiao and Marco Antonio Barrera has been (for us) the fight of the year of 2003 (while for Ring Magazine was Arturo Gatti vs Micky Ward 3). For Manny Pacquiao was the second fight in the featherweight division, he had won the first one against Serikzhan Yeshmagambetov (2003-03-15), while Barrera was fighting in this category since 2001 when he defeated Naseem Hamed. Manny Pacquiao vs Marco Antonio Barrera 1 was not valid for any world title but it was certainly one of the greatest boxing fights ever (instead their second fight, in 2007, was much less exciting). Review: 2001-04-07, Marco Antonio Barrera vs Naseem Hamed was probably the most anticipated fight of 2001, two great boxing champions, both very spectacular. Barrera had a record of 52 wins and 3 losses (two with Junior Jones and one against Erik Morales, bout named fight of the year of 2000) while Prince Naseem Hamed still had a perfect record: 35 fights with no defeats. The two boxers hated each others in fact during the fight there are some improprieties, but it was one of the most exciting fights of 2001. Watch the video!
