Review: 2014-11-23, one sided fight between Manny Pacquiao and Chris Algieri: we can’t give more than two stars. Manny Pacquiao entered this fight with a professional boxing record of 56-5-2 (38 knockouts) and he is ranked as the No.2 welterweight in the world (currently the #1 in this division is Floyd Mayweather Jr), he has won world titles in seven different weight classes but he suffered two consecutive defeats in 2012, against Timothy Bradley (controversial split decision Bradley vs Pacquiao I) and Juan Manuel Marquez in their fourth bout (=Pacquiao vs Marquez 4); after this fight he defeated Brandon Rios (=Pacquiao vs Rios) and then he took revenge on Bradley in their rematch (=Pacquiao vs Bradley 2).
His opponent, the undefeated Chris Algieri, has a perfect record of 20-0-0 (8 knockouts – he was the Wka and Iska world champion and he has the same record in kickboxing) and he entered as the No.7 light welterweight; he has fought twice in 2014 beating Emmanuel Taylor (=Taylor vs Algieri) and Ruslan Provodnikov in a bout valid for the Wbo light-Ww title (=Provodnikov vs Algieri). ‘Pac Man’ Pacquiao vs Algieri is valid for the WBO World welterweight title (Pacquiao’s first defense). Manny Pacquiao vs Timothy Bradley 2 full fight Video – 2014
Review: 2014-04-12, good fight between Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley: this second fight gets three stars. Manny Pacquiao entered this fight with a professional boxing record of 55-5-2 (38 knockouts) and he is ranked as the No.4 welterweight in the world, he has won world titles in seven different weight classes but in 2012 he lost his last world belt against Bradley (very controversial decision, Bradley vs Pacquiao I). After that bout ‘Pac Man’ was also defeated by Juan Manuel Marquez during their fourth fight (five-stars fight Pacquiao vs Marquez 4) but last hear he came back to win against Brandon Rios, his only bout of 2013 (Pacquiao vs Rios).
His opponent, the undefeated Timothy Bradley, has a perfect record of 31-0-0 (12 knockouts) and he entered as the No.2 in the same weight class but the verdicts of his last three bouts were very controversial: against Pacquiao, Ruslan Provodnikov (fight of the year candidate: Bradley vs Provodnikov) and Juan Manuel Marquez (=Bradley vs Marquez). Currently the #1 in this division is Floyd Mayweather Jr). Pacquiao vs Bradley 2 is valid for the WBO welterweight title (Bradley’s third defense). Watch the video and rate this fight!

Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez 4 full fight Video – 2012
Review: 2012-12-08, with two knockdowns, an astonishing fifth round (candidate for Round of the Year) and probably the knockout of the year, the fourth fight between Pacquiao and Marquez gets five stars as one of the most exciting fights of 2012. Manny Pacquiao (54-4-2 with 38 victories coming by way of knockout) entered as the No.2 welterweight in the world while Juan Manuel Marquez (54-6-1 with 39 victories coming by way of knockout) entered as the No.1 light welterweight. Manny Pacquiao vs Timothy Bradley full fight Video – 2012
Review: 2012-06-09, good fight, especially the central part of the bout from fourth round to the eighth, but unfortunately the judge’s decision was outrageous: Manny Pacquiao vs Timothy Bradley gets three stars (fight ended by split decision). Compubox punching statistics showed that Pacquiao landed a total of 253 of 751 punches compared to 159 of 839 for Bradley; moreover Harold Lederman scored the fight 119-109 in favor of Pacquaio: so how is that decision made? Probably before the fight happened, just for money, since the rematch was already set for November…and Bob Arum himself confirms this version, here’s what he said after the fight: “I’m going to make a lot of money on the rematch, but this [decision] was outrageous”. Manny Pacquiao (54-3-2) entered as the No.1 welterweight in the world while the undefeated Timothy Bradley (28-0-0) entered as the No.2 light welterweight. Pacquiao vs Bradley is valid for the WBO welterweight title (Pacquiao’s fourth defense); they also faced each other a second time on April 12, 2014 (=Manny Pacquiao vs Timothy Bradley 2). 2011 BOXING fight – Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez 3 – full fight Video
Review: 2011-11-12, the third fight between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez was not a war as their second fight and it had not “unexpected moments” as in their first bout but it was just a good one and it was not as spectacular as we expected (or like other boxing fights of 2011 such as Wolak vs Rodriguez, Salido vs Juanma Lopez or Guerrero vs Katsidis), therefore we can’t give it more than three stars. Manny Pacquiao (53-3-2) entered as the No.1 welterweight in the world while Juan Manuel Marquez (53-5-1) entered as the No.1 lightweight. Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 was valid for the WBO welterweight title. Watch the video!
2004 best BOXING fight – Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez – full fight Video
Review: 2004-05-08, Manny Pacquiao came from the first fight against Barrera (one of the Fights of the Year 2003) and tried to win his first title in the featherweight division since Juan Manuel Marquez was the reigning champion of the WBA and IBF featherweight titles. In the first round Manny Pacquiao surprised Marquez knocking down him three times, all thought the match was over but instead the fight ended after twelve rounds with a controversial draw (Harold Lederman scored the fight 115-110 for the Filipino). Manny Pacquiao entered the fight with a record of 38-2-1 while Juan Manuel Marquez had a record of 42-2-0. Watch the video!
Manny Pacquiao vs Miguel Angel Cotto full fight Video – 2009
Review: 2009-11-14, one of the headlines of this boxing event was “Old school warriors, modern day heros”, and we are fully agreed that Pacquiao and Cotto are two warriors and heros, as they demonstrated in this fight. Manny Pacquiao (49-3-2), having won the IBO light welterweight title versus Ricky Hatton (another great fight of 2009), tried to win the 7th title in seven different weight classes. His opponent this time was Miguel Angel Cotto (34-1-0) that, for the second time, defended his WBO welterweight title. Even in the face of one of the strongest boxers in recent years as Cotto, Pacquiao dominated him in one of the best boxing fights of 2009. Watch the video!
Manny Pacquiao vs Ricky Hatton full fight Video – 2009
Review: 2009-05-02, the fight between Manny Pacquiao (48-3-2) and Ricky Hatton (45-1-0) lasted only 2 rounds, but it were six minutes very exciting. Hatton, after losing against Floyd Mayweather Jr (in 2007), trying to win the welterweight title, had returned in his light welterweight division winning the IBO‘s belt versus Juan Lazcano (in 2008). So Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton defended his title against Manny Pacquiao who tried to win a world title in the light welterweight category, even though he had just fought and won against Oscar De La Hoya at the welterweight limit. Pacquiao knocked down Hatton two times in the first round and knocked him out at the end of the second round, surely one of the best KO of 2009. (After this fight Hatton retired). Watch the video!
Manny Pacquiao vs David Diaz full fight Video – 2008
Review: 2008-06-28, like many other fighting of Manny Pacquiao, the one against David Diaz was very nice, one of the best boxing fights of 2008. Manny Pacquiao, after winning a world title in three different categories (flyweight, super bantamweight and super featherweight), tried to win also the WBC lightweight title versus David Diaz. The difference in speed between the two boxers was huge, Diaz said after the match that he did not see the punches of Pacquiao, so the Filipino made him part of boxing’s history as the first Asian boxer to win four world titles in four weight classes!
