Review: 2008-01-11, after his second defeat (against Kelly Pavlik, one of the fights of the year of 2007) and before the rematch against Arthur Abraham, Edison “Pantera” Miranda faced the American David Banks in the super middleweight division. After two tactical rounds, Miranda picks up the pace and knocks Banks out with a perfect right hand that sends David Banks outside of the ring! Miranda vs Banks was awarded as the “Knockout of the Year” (by The Ring magazine). Edison Miranda entered the fight with a record of 29-2-0 while David Banks had a record of 15-3-1. Watch the video!
Review: 2011-07-29, the fight between Edison Miranda and Yordanis Despaigne could be nice but in the fifth round Vic Drakulich stopped the match and disqualified Miranda due to low blows (for us the referee has made a decision too quickly, probably there will be a rematch). Watch the video!
Review: 2007-05-19, when two explosive boxers with the habit of KO face each other, usually it comes a very nice fight, as happened between Kelly Pavlik and Edison Miranda (match valid for the WBC middleweight title eliminator). Pavlik (30-0-0) came from the nth victory by knockout (against Jose Luis Zertuche) and he had never lost in his career, while Miranda (28-1-0) suffered the first defeat against Arthur Abraham (one of the best fights of 2006), but he had just won the undefeated Allan Green. Review: 2006-09-23, the first fight between Arthur Abraham and Edison Miranda will go down in history of boxing for the incredible injury of Abraham, as though breaking his jaw in the fourth round, he managed to finish the fight! Abraham (21-0-0) defended his IBF middleweight title for the third time against the dangerous Colombian “Pantera” Miranda (26-0-0).
