Review: 2013-11-16, pretty boring fight between David Tua and Alexander Ustinov: it gets one star. Alexander Ustinov ranked as the No.32 heavyweight in the world, entered the fight with a record of 28-1-0 (21 KOs=75%) while David Tua had a record of 52-4-2 (43 K0s=82% – Tua is not ranked as he hasn’t fought since August 13, 2011 when he was defeated by Monte Barrett). Review: 2011-08-13, we do not understand why David Tua woke up and started to fight just in the last rounds. In fact Tua knocked down Monte Barrett in the twelfth round but Barrett survived and won deservedly the fight by unanimous decision. As the first match (ended in a draw) this second fight between David Tua and Monte Barrett was valid for the WBO Asia Pacific and WBO Oriental heavyweight titles. Watch the video!
Review: 2009-10-03, the fight between David Tua and Shane Cameron was exciting for the impressive KO of the Samoan, who knocked down Cameron at the beginning of the second round. David Tua (49-3-1) could remember Mike Tyson for the amount of Ko that he had in his record and also for his style of fighting, but against stronger opponents he has never been convincing. Shane Cameron (23-1-0), however, was a good boxer and still today is at thirteenth place of the boxrec’s ranking (cruiserweight division); Tua vs Cameron was valid for the WBO Asia Pacific and WBO Oriental heavyweight title.
