Review: 2013-08-17, pretty good fight with two knockdowns: Nathan Cleverly vs Sergey Kovalev gets three stars. Both undefeated, the Englishman Nathan Cleverly (26-0-0, 12 KOs) entered as the No.10 light heavyweight in the world while the Russian Sergey Kovalev (21-0-1, 19 KOs=86%) entered as the No.5. Cleverly vs Kovalev is valid for the WBO light heavyweight title (Cleverly’s sixth defense). Watch the video!

Completely one sided fight.
Great job by Kovalev. Showed his amateur pedigree.
Cleverly is a boxing by numbers type of fighter who doesn’t have enough power to hold off the big boys. He has found his level which unfortunately isn’t at the top. His corner shouldn’t have let him out for the fourth round, he was done.
Looked like a TOTAL mismatch!
as i always said. overrated crap. as soon as he gets hit off somebody decent he didn’t know what to do. for a so called world champ, he looked very inexperienced.
Good job Seriy !! Follow Today rule #1 – not first time kiss UK like Lewis, Haye and Dereck from streets London Ghetto my Urals white Russian a*s,,, !!! No Cleverly tattoos sh*t , no Floyd clown stile , no Bernard diarrhea talk – just feel my heavy hands !! Now !! One way traffic !!! Next !!
I like how the ref helped Cleverly stumble to his corner at the end of the 3rd round LMAO.
