Official highlights
After the Mayweather fight Guerrero became a gatekeeper and struggled with the next opposition. Now a journeyman puts a boxing lesson on him, so what that tells u? Hes shot and ready for the picking. Retirement should be a good option or at least change his CLOWN of trainer.
Guerrero showed all aspects of an over the hill fighter, he saw the openings but was late on pretty much every punch. he wore down over the corse of the fight with an not so active fighter, throwing repeitive combinations over and over with no adjustment, slow at pulling hi jab back and guerrero was to slow to take advantage of it over and over, his days of being an A fighter are over. Was great watching him through the years but he wasn’t just beat by an opponent its obvious he was beat by time. he will come back with a fight against a c level fighter with known slowness and hell look great than hell get a b+-a opponent and it will look like this fight again. AKA holyfield at end of career.
Good analysis. The Ghost has three or four competitive rounds left in him, and then he’s slow, uncertain and hittable. He should retire now or the end will be brutal.
I always consider the $$$$ aspect of the business, and with this setback Guerrero will be making peanuts compared to what he made against Mayweather in a comeback attempt. Apart from that, he could be a good gatekeeper, but would have to be lucky to return to that money level.
