UFC on Fuel Tv 5 – Today none of the fighters struggled to make weight on Friday including the heavyweight main event fighters Stipe Miocic (239 pounds) and Stefan Struve (251 pounds) who obviously didn’t have to suffer cutting pounds like the other competitors on the card.
Yet the loudest ovation from the Nottingham crowd was for the “homeboy” Dan Hardy, but all of the British fighters were

MMA News – How do you knock down a “Skyscraper”? Struve vs Miocic at UFC on Fuel TV 5
This Saturday in Nottingham, England, the main event at UFC on Fuel Tv 5 will be a fight between still-developing talents. Struve and Miocic emerged with great victories in heavyweight main card at UFC 146 in May. Most importantly for the fans, both fighters provided plenty of violence and entertainment potential. We believe that Saturday night the fight will not betray the expectations.
Stipe Miocic is undefeated (9-0, 3-0 UFC) and won with Shane del Rosario at UFC 146 (TKO).
But now he has to climb a “Skyscraper” named Stefan Struve, currently the tallest fighter in the UFC, standing 6 ft 11.5 in. “I trained with Tim Sylvia a little bit, he’s about 6’9″ so that helped out a lot. It’s tough to find someone like that, but we worked up a good game plan for what we’re going to do. I’m real confident,” Miocic told.
Struve, who, at 24, is six years younger than Miocic, has already acquired a wealth of UFC experience. Like his opponent, the Dutchman obtained an important victory at UFC 146, submitting the heavy-handed Lavar Johnson.
Miocic appears confident and knows this is a
MMA News – The Pitbull is unleashed!! Andrei Arlvoski vs Devin Cole at WSOF 1
Las Vegas. Saturday, November 3. Main event of the inaugural World Series of Fighting Mixed Martial Arts fight card. At the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino hard-hitting heavyweight KO artists Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski (17-9-0) of Minsk, Belarus and Devin Cole (20-9-1) of Medford, Ore, will collide. And we aspect a great “bang”.
World Series of Fighting President Ray Sefo said announcing the match: “Both of these heavyweights have delivered some incredibly memorable highlights during their careers and their matchup should be a barnburner.”
The 33-year-old, 6-foot-4, 250 pound Arlovski made his first major statement in the sport of MMA, winning the interim UFC heavyweight championship by forcing rival Tim Sylvia to tap out from a heel hook just 47 seconds into their matchup on Feb. 5, 2005. It was a real “big bang”.
Four months later, Arlovski defended his title, toppling Justin Eilers with an onslaught of punches in the first round (after the fight, it was revealed that Eilers suffered extensive injuries in this match including a badly broken nose, two broken hands and a complete ACL tear).
Arlowski, known for his unusual speed, knockout power, and for his powerful kicks, is also the only man to ever KO Roy Nelson.
His opponent, Devin Cole, 35-year-old, 6-foot-4, 250 pound, has earned
