In the eighth round Kevin Mitchell knocked down John Murray and after a few seconds the referee stopped the fight: TKO victory for Mitchell that won the vacant WBO Inter-Continental lightweight title. Review: 2011-07-16, the result of the fight between Rafael Marquez and Eduardo Becerril was obvious: Marquez ranked as the #8 in the world (boxrec featherweight division) while Eduardo Becerril as the #400, in fact the Mexican boxer defeated Becerril by TKO too easily. (Rafael Marquez fought before his brother’s fight Juan Manuel Marquez vs Likar Ramos). Watch the video!
Review: 2011-07-16, nice fight with a good pace between Roman Gonzalez and Omar Salado. In the first round Gonzalez knocked down Omar Salado twice and also in the seventh Salado went down and the referee stopped the fight. Roman Gonzalez won the match by TKO defending his WBA World light flyweight title. Watch the video!
Review: 2011-07-15, important victory for the undefeated Nikola Sjekloca (20-0-0) that defeated Khoren Gevor (31-6-0) by unanimous decision, but the fight was not very exciting: two stars. In this fight against Gevor, Sjekloca was defending for the second time his WBC International super middleweight title. Watch the video!
Review: 2011-07-15, close and tough fight between Pawel Wolak and Delvin Rodriguez that gets four stars thanks to ten rounds of non-stop action: certainly one of the best boxing fights of 2011. Delvin Rodriguez entered the fight with a record of 25-5-2 while Pawel Wolak had a record of 29-1-0. For the first time Rodriguez fought in the light middleweight division. Watch the video!
Review: 2011-07-15, pleasant and tough fight between Firat Arslan (30-5-1) and Lubos Suda (23-5-1), match valid for the IBF International and vacant PABA cruiserweight titles. They already faced in 2003 and in the first fight won Lubos Suda but after eight years Firat Arslan took revenge on Suda knocking down him four times: twice in the fourth and twice in the fifth round when the referee stopped the fight. Review: 2010-12-04, it was incredible how easy was the victory of Nonito Donaire (24-1-0) versus Volodymyr Sydorenko (22-2-2): “The Filipino Flash” destroy him in just four rounds (and Sydorenko had been the WBA World bantamweight champion for three years). Nonito Donaire knocked Sydorenko out in the fourth round but the Ukrainian boxer went down both in the first and third rounds. Watch the video!
