Review: 2011-08-20, important victory for Fernando “Cochulito” Montiel but the fight was not very spectacular: two stars. Fernando Montiel defeated Alvaro Perez by KO in the third round; this match was the second fight for Montiel in the super bantamweight division after the defeat against Nonito Donaire (one of the best ko of 2011). Review: 2011-08-20, three stars for the pleasant fight and the hard knockout between Ricco Rodriguez and Seth Petruzelli; undercard of Curran vs Sandro (Featherweight Tournament Final – BFC Bellator 48). Seth Petruzelli defeated Ricco Rodriguez by TKO in the first round. Watch the video!
Review: 2011-08-20, Marlon Sandro was dominating a tactical fight against Pat Curran when the American surprised the Brazilian with a right high kick that knocked Sandro out: three stars for the impressive ko. Pat Curran, defeating Marlon Sandro, won the final of the Bellator featherweight tournament (Bellator 48). Watch the video!
Review: 2011-08-19, Tomas Rojas was defending for the third time his WBC super flyweight title and was the favourite since he was ranked as the #2 in the world (boxrec super flyweight division) while his opponent, Suriyan Sor Rungvisai, was ranked as the #16 and was at his first attempt to win a world title in the super flyweight division. The fight Rojas vs Suriyan was not very exciting even if the fighter from Thailand managed to win “Gusano” Rojas. Watch the video!
Review: 2005-04-30, very exciting fight between Vicente Mosquera (20-1-1) and Yodsanan Sor Nanthachai (44-2-1). The boxer from Thailand, also known as Yodsanan 3K Battery had won the WBA World super featherweight title in 2002 (against Lakva Sim) and at his fourth defense he had to face the Panamanian boxer Mosquera, at his first fight in United States. Both boxers started strong and Yodsanan knocked down Mosquera in the first round, but in the third (one of the best rounds of the year) both fighters went down! In the second part of the match the pace slow down but in the last two rounds the battle started again. Vicente Mosquera defeated Yodsanan Sor Nanthachai by unanimous decision winning the WBA belt, then lost in 2006 against Edwin Valero (one of the best boxing fights of 2006). Watch the video!
Review: 2011-08-14, nice fight between Saenchai Sinbimuaythai and Kevin Ross (M1 Grand Muay Thai Championship). In the third round Saenchai (also known as Saenchai Sor Kingstar) knocks down Kevin Ross with a left high kick but “The Soul Assassin” Ross recovers and wins the last two rounds. The winner of the fight, valid for the WBC Diamond World title, is Saenchai Sinbimuaythai (majority decision, 48-46, 47-47, 48-46 ). Watch the video!
