Reagan Penn, brother of BJ Penn, was at his second professional fight in mma (1-0-0), while Evan Cutts had only one more fight (2-0-0). Review: 2011-11-05, at the end of the third round Andrei Arlovski knocks Travis Fulton out with one of the best ko of the year but unfortunately the fight was boring and we can’t give more than three stars. Andrei Arlovski entered the fight with a record of 16-9-0 while Travis Fulton had a record of 247-48-10. Review: 2011-11-05, boring fight between the undefeated Peter Quillin and Craig McEwan: one stars. “Kid Chocolate” Quillin defeated McEwan by TKO in the sixth round but the referee stopped the fight too soon (McEwan had never been knocked down during the fight). Peter Quillin (25-0-0) entered as the No.9 super middleweight in the world while Craig McEwan (19-1-0) entered as the No.39 middleweight. Review: 2011-11-05, Kirkland starts strong but after 28 seconds of the first round he is already down, so Alfredo Angulo tries to end the fight throwing a lot of punches in the second minute of the fight but James Kirkland survives and comes back in the last minute of the first round knocking down “Perro” Angulo! Then the fight goes on but we don’t want to unveil the result of the bout… We don’t believe that Kirkland vs Angulo could win “Fight of the Year” honors but it could be a candidate for “Round of the Year” thanks to the amazing first round. Alfredo Angulo (20-1-0) entered as the No.2 light middleweight in the world while James Kirkland (29-1-0) entered as the No.49 middleweight. Ricky Burns (32-2-0) entered as the No.12 lightweight in the world while Michael “The Great” Katsidis (28-4-0) entered as the No.13. Burns vs Katsidis was valid for the interim WBO lightweight title. Suriyan defeated Nashiro by unanimous decision defending for the first time his WBC super flyweight title. Review: 2011-11-05, unfortunately the fight between Mike Zambidis and Batu Khasikov is interrupted in the middle of the first round due to a jaw fracture of the Greek.
