Scheduled for Friday, April 8, in Japan there are 3 WBC world titles up for grabs. The main event is the fight between Hozumi Hasegawa and Jhonny Gonzalez valid for the featherweight division. Hasegawa should be the favorite because it is the holder of the title (won against Juan Carlos Burgos in 2010) and he also fights in Japan; Gonzalez, like all Mexicans is very dangerous because he has a lot of Ko in his record (41 ko on 47 wins) and he would like to repeat the feat of his countryman Fernando Montiel that, about a year ago, wins the title (WBC bantamweight) in Japan exactly against Hasegawa.
The other two fights for the two WBC world titles are:
-
Toshiaki Nishioka vs Mauricio Javier Munoz (super bantamweight)
-
Takahiro Ao vs Humberto Mauro Gutierrez (super featherweight title)
Date: 2011-04-08
Where: World Memorial Hall, Kobe, Hyogo, Japan
Promoter: Akihiko Honda (Teiken Promotions)
