What a clinic. Ukranians are taking over boxing.
Man, I like these Ukranian fighters! Craft and art, plus ten times the excitement of the Hopkinses, Mayweathers and Wards.
Dido that!
Scary good stuff! Gvozdyk was hitting and moving very well with a great variety of punches for the first two rounds, then he started throwing some terrific combinations with such precision that Gonzalez was rapidly overwhelmed. He went down on the first kd by a headbutt, but he sure was hurt already at that point.
Can you imagine Gvozdyk against Beterbiev? Both guys combine such excellent effectiveness and power. Gvozdyk might have better movement but Beterbiev can counter and he hits like a mule.
A very good fight with an excellent performer enhanced by the fact that his rival has a very good credential and lethal power punching.
Oleksandr was outstanding with his work which permitted him to out boxing Gonzalez from the very beginning of the fight thanks to his jab followed by punch combinations and excellent moves in the ring. However, his major asset is his speed that makes Gonzalez to look too slow. Gonzalez was brave and defiant but Oleksandr looks like being from a league one step up. Oleksandr is a very good prospect in this category that deserves to be watched closely.
