Strikeforce believes strongly in St. Preux, fighter born in 1983 which came with six consecutive victories, but this time he faced a strong Ron “Abong” Humphrey that put him in trouble many times during the fight, both with heavy punches and on the ground: exciting fight, four stars (controversial decision). Melvin Guillard vs Evan Dunham (TKO at 2:58, round 1): the main event of Ufc Fight for the troops 2 it was the best fight of the night, Guillard’s hands have been too heavy and fast for Dunham. Melvin has seemed always sure and calm, after some good series of punches he knocks out Dunham definitely with some good knees. Now Guillard wants the belt!
Matt Wiman vs Cole Miller (unanimous decision 29-28, 30-27, 30-27): Wiman dominates from the beginning Cole Miller in a pleasant fight, good rhythm and good performance of the winner but without a ko we can’t give more than 3 stars.
Yves Edwards vs Cody McKenzie (Submission at 4:33, round 2): after a first round tie, in the second McKenzie seems to take the right path but Edwards doesn’t forgive one mistake of Cody and wins with a rear naked choke.
Matt Mitrione vs Tim Hague (TKO at 2:59, round 1): Matt Mitrione is dangerous from the beginning with some nice low kicks, then he surprises Hague with a quick left punch, Tim goes to the mat and Mitrione
Tonight, Juanuary 22, it is scheduled the UFC Fight for the Troops 2, an interesting mixed martial arts event organized by Ultimate Fighting Cahmpionship. The main fight of the night is the battle between Melvin Guillard (44-9-3) and Evan Dunham (11-1-0).
