The first words after his debut (Dave Batista vs Vince Lucero) have been: “I think my nerves got the best of me a little bit. He hits like a (expletive) horse. He rocked me. I couldn’t my legs under me for a while. I was just so nervous. It took me a little while to get my composure.”
In fact Batista’s fans can’t be happy about ‘The Animal’ (now Brass Body) performance. He appeared clumsy and slow, with still much rust to remove.
Anyway Dave ‘Batista’ Bautista was able to score a

All 14 bouts of Invicta FC 3 at Memorial Hall in Kansas City were made official after the weigh-ins.
The main event is the first-ever Invicta Fighting Championships world title bout between Jessica Penne (9-1) and undefeated Naho ‘Sugi Rock’ Sugiyama (8-0). Jessica Penne (104.5 pounds) enters with a two fight winning streak, most recently defeating Lisa Ellis via TKO at Invicta FC 1 earlier this year. Naho Sugiyama (103.5 pounds) last fought at Jewels 19 in May, where she defeated Yasuko Tamada via decision.
This fight against Penne will be Sugiyama’s first fight in the United States, so she will no doubt be looking to put on a good performance in this title fight.
In the co-main event, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt Shayna “The Queen of Spades” Baszler (14-7). will face
At the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, it’s time for ONE FC 6, One Fighting Championship 6 “Rise of Kings”.
The main event is a great fight between Shinya Aoki and Arnaud ‘The Game’ Lepont. During the weigh-in Aoki checked in at 154.1 pounds, while Lepont tipped the scales at 154.8.
Aoki is the DREAM Lightweight Champion and one of the deadliest submission specialists in the sport. He has provoked Lepont, saying he’s never heard of Lepont and he’s making a mistake for asking to fight him. Aoki has always been Lepont’s idol, so the French fighter was very disappointed hearing this words: “I have to be honest, yes I am (disappointed), but it helps me open my mind and get more focused about that fight. Now I know I have to go for it, to earn his respect. He says he can knock me out? Great, can’t wait to see how long he will
Tonight at the Venue at Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Ind. it’s time for the heavyweight tournament quarterfinals of Bellator Fighting Championship.
The heaviest division is currently without a champ after the unexpected retirement of the title holder Cole Konrad in September (his last defense against Eric Prindle at Bellator 70).
The main event will be the same Eric Prindle (264 pounds) vs Thiago ‘Big Monster’ Santos (265.5 pounds). It’s a rematch because they had already fought at the Season 5 heavyweight tournament final one year ago, in which “Big Monster” landed what was considered to be an
No incident at Thursday’s official weigh-In for the tonight UFC on FX 5 at Target Center in Minneapolis.
For the main event Travis Browne checked in at 246 pounds, and Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva arrived at 266.
The 30-year-old Hawaiian is undefeated and comes from a victory at UFC 145 in April, when he submitted Chad Griggs with a first-round arm-triangle choke at Philips Arena in Atlanta.
Silva, after the bloody defeat against Cain Velasquez, knows that he is under a lot of pressure: “This fight for me is
Bantamweight fighter Walel ‘The Gazelle’ Watson has been released by the UFC.
After a negative record of 3 losses in a row president Dana White has decided that Watson can leave the federation.
His debut in UFC one year ago had been hopeful, with a first-round technical knockout over fellow UFC debutant Joseph Sandoval at UFC Live 6. But after that came two losses via decision (Yves Jabouin and TJ Dillashaw) and most recently, Watson was stopped by
According to Ronda Rousey, breaking an arm feels like “tearing apart a turkey with a crotch”. A sort of game, so to speak.
“I don’t think it’s satisfying. It kind of grosses me out. I tell everybody, it kind of feels like tearing apart a turkey with a crotch. It really does. It’s gross. When you’re trying to get a turkey thing off and you feel all the cartilage and the tendons and the bones coming off, when you’re pulling it, it really is that exact feeling” she said during the interview. “It’s gross. But that’s the way it is. They’d try to do the exact same thing to me. I’ve felt it being done to my own arms”.
The best example of this is what she did to Miesha Tate when she won the 135-pound title in March.
The 25 year-old has in fact has won all nine of her bouts in the same way: armbar. And often with bad consequences for her “victims”.
In a former interview, she explained where she learned her signature move: her judoka mother jumped on her every morning to wake her up with armbars! If it is not maternal love… View the complete interview!
His first appearance at UFC in May was a disaster. Ex-champ Cain Velasquez made his face a bloody mess at UFC 146. And almost a year earlier, his hope to win the Strikeforce Heavyweight Tournament was wiped out by a big punch delivered by Daniel Cormier in the semifinals.
His memorable victory against the legend Fedor Emelianenko seems to be happened centuries ago.
Now Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva (16-4 MMA, 0-1 UFC) wants to forget the recent past and comeback to victory.
Friday at Target Center in Minneapolis in the main event of UFC on FX 5, he will face a rising giant, the 6-foot-7 undefeated Travis Browne (13-0-1 MMA, 4-0-1 UFC).
Silva (6-foot-4, anyway) said: “I’m coming into this fight with a lot of
Just five days before his scheduled MMA debut, former WWE Champion Dave Batista finally knows who’ll be his first MMA opponent: the veteran Vince Lucero.
The former candidates were all almost amateur fighters, with no professional bouts: Rashid Evans went to jail; Bruno McKee cited a lack of time to prepare.
Instead Vince Lucero is a legitimate experienced fighter, a 13-year-veteran with 45 bouts. Not a dummy.
The bulky fighter who cuts to make the 265-pound top limit of the heavyweight division, has fought twice this year on Rage in the Cage show. His last fight was a win on April 13 over
