Review: 2012-08-18, pretty good fight thanks to the early rounds and the final part of the bout (with one knockdown), but unfortunately the central part of the fight has been pretty boring: Alberto Rossel vs Karluis Diaz gets two stars. Review: 2012-08-13, probably the bout between Nihito Arakawa and Takehiro Shimada is not very technical but the pace is astonishing thanks to the great performance by both fighters: Shimada vs Arakawa (red gloves) is a tough, exciting toe-to-toe fight with two knockdowns, definitely one of the best boxing fights of the year, four stars! Nihito Arakawa (22-1-1) entered as the No.6 lightweight in the world while Takehiro Shimada (27-5-1) entered as the No.46. Usually we don’t post and rate amateur boxing fights but for once we make an exception since the London 2012 Olympic Games have just ended and probably some amateur boxers could be turning pro.
We have rated the Olympic boxing Finals but they will not get in our ranking of the best boxing fights of 2012 (since they are amateur fights).
