Review:2001-06-23, Manny Pacquiao vs Lehlohonolo Ledwaba was the first fight of Pacquiao in the USA and was certainly one of the best fight of 2001. Manny Pacquiao was 22 years old and had a record of 32 wins and 2 losses (with Torrecampo in 1996 and Singsurat in 1999) and that day against Ledwaba, he fought for the IBF super bantamweight title. Review: 2001-03-02, the fight between Pongsaklek Wonjongkam and Malcolm Tunacao is not the best fight of the year since it is too short, but the first round it is definitely the best round of boxing of 2001. On March 2, 2001, Pongsaklek Wonjongkam was not even 23 years old, but he had a record of 38 wins and 2 defeats, while Tunacao had only 12 fights, but with no loss. Wonjongkam versus Tunacao was valid for the WBC flyweight title. Watch the video!
Review: 2001-03-24, Oscar De La Hoya vs Arturo Gatti, for us, was the fight of the year of 2001. De La Hoya, nine months before, had lost against Shane Mosley and absolutely needed a win to move closer to a world title, Gatti, instead, did not suffer any loss in the two previous years. Oscar De La Hoya and Arturo Gatti were two boxers very technical and spectacular that could not give us an exciting fight. Watch the video!

Review: 2000-04-29, aggressive start, three knockdowns and a tremendous knockout: four stars. Michael Grant, 7 years younger than the champion, was undefeated, even though he had never met anyone of the level of Lewis. Lennox Lewis entered the fight with a record of 35-1-1 while Michael Grant had a perfect record of 31-0-0. Lewis vs Grant was valid for the WBC, IBF and IBO heavyweight titles. Watch the video!

Review: 2000-01-29, Mike Tyson vs Julius Francis was certainly one of the best fights of 2000, as many fighting of Iron Mike. In January 2000, when he faced Julius Francis (21-7-0), Mike Tyson (46-3-0) had already lost against James Buster Douglas and twice with Evander Holyfield, but at 33 years old he seemed still have the desire and the anger of the past. Review: Julio Cesar Chavez Jr last weekend faced Billy Lyell for the WBC Silver middleweight title. The son of the famous Julio Cesar Chavez, however, has not convinced all his fans and especially his trainer Freddie Roach, the principal cause was the good performance of Billy Lyell. The “Prince” Naseem Hamed entered the fight with a perfect record of 34-0-0 while Augie Sanchez had a record of 26-1-0. Hamed was at his 15th defense of his WBO featherweight title while Sanchez was at his first attempt for a world title. Watch the video!
