4_stars_allthebestfights Review: 2008-12-11, it is not easy to see a match with high pace in the major categories of weight but, as in the case of Tomasz Adamek vs Steve Cunningham, when this happens, the fight results very spectacular. Cunningham (21-1-0) had won the IBF cruiserweight title in 2007 against Krzysztof Wlodarczyk and this was his second defense. Adamek (35-1-0) was therefore more experienced, but he tried for the first time the assault to a world title in the cruiserweight division. Adamek knocked down Cunningham three times and won the fight. Watch the video!

2008 best BOXING fight – Israel Vazquez vs Rafael Marquez 3 – Video full fight FOTY

4_stars_allthebestfights Review: 2008-03-01, the third fight between Israel Vazquez and Rafael Marquez should have been the decisive one, as both had won once in the previous two fighting. Like the second match between the two (in 2007), this one won the title of “Fight of the Year” (by Ring Magazine), even if for example we have preferred the fight between Casamayor and Katsidis or other 5-star fights of 2008. Rafael Marquez knocked down Vazquez in the fourth round but at the end of this balanced and spectacular fight the winner is “Magnifico” Vazquez. Watch the video!

2011 BOXING fight – Billi Facundo Godoy vs Claudio Ariel Abalos – Video full fight

3_stars_allthebestfights Review: 2011-05-14, the fight between Billi Facundo Godoy vs Claudio Ariel Abalos, valid for the Argentina (FAB) middleweight title, was pleasant but had an incredible final. Godoy knocked down Abalos in the second round and was dominating the match, but in the ninth round Abalos headbutts him, Godoy is in trouble and receives a standing count, it seems he can not continue to fight. So the referee Hernan Guajardo stops the fight, the winner should be Abalos, but the Godoy’s corner begins almost a broil and the public threw bottles and chairs over the ring! Under pression the referee changes the decision and Godoy wins the fight by reading the card. Watch the video!

4_stars_allthebestfights Review: 2008-06-28, like many other fighting of Manny Pacquiao, the one against David Diaz was very nice, one of the best boxing fights of 2008. Manny Pacquiao, after winning a world title in three different categories (flyweight, super bantamweight and super featherweight), tried to win also the WBC lightweight title versus David Diaz. The difference in speed between the two boxers was huge, Diaz said after the match that he did not see the punches of Pacquiao, so the Filipino made him part of boxing’s history as the first Asian boxer to win four world titles in four weight classes! 4_stars_allthebestfights Review: 2008-01-19, the title of the night was “Bring on the Titans”, in fact the fight between Roy Jones Jr and Felix Trinidad was a real dream match. Roy Jones Jr (51-4-0) fell below the 170 Lb, which has not happened since 1996, while for Trinidad (42-2-0) this was his first fight in the light heavyweight division. The fight was spectacular, Roy Jones Jr knocked down “Tito” Trinidad two times during the bout and won this battle. Watch the video!

Both boxers had lost once in their career (when they tried to win a world title), Andrade lost against Mikkel Kessler, while Stieglitz versus Alejandro Berrio. The fight ended in the eighth round after a tough fight full of action, Andrade defeated Stieglitz by TKO. Watch the video!

As against Hopkins, the “Italian Dragon” Calzaghe went down in the first round, but then he managed to win a match in which it gives its best, “Calzaghe seemed to fight like Roy Jones Jr” when the American was in his best years, mocking his opponent. Joe Calzaghe vs Roy Jones Jr was one of the best boxing fights of 2008 and it is also the last match of Calzaghe (retired undefeated). Watch the video!
