Review: 2014-09-27, fight not particularly good between Omar Chavez and Ramon Alvarez: it gets two stars. Omar Chavez, brother of Julio Cesar Cjavez Jr, entered this fight with a professional boxing record of 32-2-1 (22 knockouts) and he is ranked as the No.20 light middleweight in the world, both his defeats occurred against Jorge Paez Jr: the first one in 2011 (5-stars-fight Paez Jr vs Chavez I) and the second one in 2012 (=Paez Jr vs Chavez II); after this bout he has won four consecutive fights.
His opponent, Ramon Alvarez (brother of Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez), has an official record of 19-4-2 (12 knockouts) and he entered as the No.32 in the same weight class; he suffered his last defeat in 2012 when he faced Mario Alberto Lozano, since then he has collected five consecutive victories. Chavez vs Alvarez is valid for the WBO NABO light middleweight title; they also faced each other a third time on June 19, 2021 (Omar Chavez vs Ramon Alvarez 3). Watch the video and rate this fight!

The two judges involved in this match who saw the fight 96-94 are part of the mafia that is around the Chavez’s family. Even a blind judge cannot do so big mistake. They should be removed from their positions right away.
Alvarez did a great fight and give a boxing lesson to Chavez. In my opinion Alvarez won all the rounds which is consistent also with the opinion of Vasquez, the boxer, who was reporting during the fight.
Chavez didn’t live up to the name, he wasn’t focused on winning the fight. Alvarez fought a good fight going forward and putting pressure. Chavez sr. Looked upset!
wow these judges should be hung 96/94 r u serious thats how u know boxing is goin to sh*t..
