Wonders never cease…To beat a man 10 yrs younger in his prime…w/ a style that relies on movement & explosion & speed was remarkable. This was a very exciting & entertaining fight. Pac beat Keith up tonight. Didn’t think he could do it. Hat’s off. Quite honestly, Manny saved Thurman from getting demolished by Spence. I’m not one who overrates ESJ at all. I personally believe he’s not not yet earned the boba yaga moniker yet. But I also know his mainstay is the body attack & One Time is simply too vulnerable to the body. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a fighter remove his mouthpiece the way Thurman did when he got hurt to the body.. & that one shot is what kept him from surging in the final rds the he needed to. From that point on it was clear that he was protecting his right side. & lost him much needed offensive opportunities. Salute to Pacquiao once again, Excellent performance.
& I thought that was a unanimous vickie. ..
I was surprised that Manny didn’t target the body more given Thurman’s known vulnerability to body shots.
Keith is smart as well. He understands coming in what his opps will attempt to target. & he’s had enough high level & championship fights to know how to be savvy in their protecting himself. I thought Thurman did well tonight.
I agree that Thurman did well, but he is not, and will never be a Manny Pacquiao. He was simply outclassed by a better opponent, but hat’s off to him for a great effort.
Awesome speed from Manny.
Incredible Pacquiao!!! Older but still faster than his rival. The half part of the fight was all Manny who was throwing punches from very different angles and landing most of them. Keith came to light after the middle part of this fight but he almost was knock down again in the 10th when hit by a very hard body punch, He could not break Paquiao at all who finished the fight with still a lot of gas to go for a couple of rounds more. The judge that gave Keith 113-114 is blind or corrupted or may be both.
