Review: 2011-12-31, even with the KO in the first round the fight between Fedor Emelianenko and Satoshi Ishii isn’t worth our three stars. Fedor Emelianenko (32-4-0) entered as the No.12 heavyweight in the world while Satoshi Ishii (4-1-1) entered as the No.45. Fedor vs Ishii is the main event of “Dream – Fight for Japan. How are you! New Year! 2011”. Watch the video!

it’s time for fedor to fight top fighter. stop fighting with nobody
just the opposite. me, in his situation, i’d want to gain a few easy wins to gain confidence. he is human, he needs those wins!
he needs to go to the ufc now and fight the other top heavys
reborn is right everyone started talking sh*t caused he lost three striaght but hes still like 33-4 hes beating everyone in japan and dana white needs to step up and stop picking favorites
He improved his striking. Especially his kicking. But his striking is still open for counterstriking. He needs to stop fighting No body and start fighting the top contenders.
But it’s not my choice. Maybe he fights for fun and stops over a year. Otherwise he needs to step up his game and sign in at UFC.
If Dana let him to the UFC because of his 3 losses at Strikeforce.
We have Overeem finally at the UFC. Maybe Fedor goes there too?
If anyone knows fedor’s theme song please reply and email me (camL17@hotmail.com) thanks!
Fedor is coming back! His eyes n’gaze show that! He knock’d him out, and proudly didn’t keep finishing off!
Fedor is a has been, he just fights for the pay day
and they love him in Japan.
Be good to see Fedor go out with some wins. He will always have dangerous hands, but you cannot only be at the top in what is a brutal sport for so long. He looks very tentative now. I loved it when he just tore through people and was fearless.
Fedor did not have much success in the USA… i think the fight style does not suit him there. Also, he is an undersized heavyweight in the UFC… he does not even lose weight for weigh-in.. if he does, he is probably better suited in light-heavyweight.. don’t you guys think so too?
It seems that Fedor has refined his style in a palpable way. He was always painted as a calculating fighter. His prominent losses came largely as a result of a complete lack of caution and, in my opinion, from underestimating his opponents. Tightening his stand up striking, supplementing it with strategic kicks, and avoiding unnecessary ground fighting seems to be a straight ticket into the top level of competition.
Fedor is still relatively young, he is still fast, and with a an added bit of caution and calculated reserve, I think he still has it in him to be a top contender.
Fedor was so fascinating to watch for so many years because of his aura of invincibility. Many other fighters have had this but few and many would say none on the level that Fedor was. He had the longest spanning truly unbeaten record in mma history, beating the best pride had to offer in it’s day (and that’s saying a lot because the ufc had such a weak heavyweight division in the past that pride made them look silly. This was before the current era. Now we have Overeem, Dos Santos, Valasquez, and many more rising. The problem is that Fedor hasn’t trained much outside his regular camp and hasn’t grown much as a fighter over the years. He was just head and shoulders above everyone else for a long time. That time is no more, true heavyweights (not an over bloated light heavyweight) can hold Fedor down. Ground and pound is Fedor’s worst enemy, and any of the top guys in the UFC could pin Fedor to the mat. I may be wrong, but I really doubt it. I’ve been following this sport a long time, and believe me as cool as it would be, Fedor will likely never fight in the UFC. The deals are off the table, he would have to settle for less, and when he makes a fortune in Japan fighting bums, why take the financial and personal risk of losing to a top contender? He got knocked out by a blown up Dan Henderson for the love of god.
Fedor Emelianenko please come to UFC Undisputed 3 :(…
