Dillian Whyte entered this fight with a professional boxing record of 23-1-0 (17 knockouts) and he is ranked as the No.8 heavyweight in the world. He suffered his only loss when he faced current #1 Anthony Joshua in 2015 (4-stars fight, Joshua vs Whyte, curiously Whyte defeated Joshua by unanimous decision in his first amateur bout in 2009), after this fight he has won seven fights beating Malcolm Tann, Robert Helenius (Dillian Whyte vs Robert Helenius) and Lucas Browne in his last three (Dillian Whyte vs Lucas Browne).
His opponent, the former Wbo Hw champion Joseph Parker, has an official record of 24-1-0 (18 KOs=75%) and he entered as the No.9 in the same weight class but he comes off the loss against Joshua (Anthony Joshua vs Joseph Parker). Before this bout, in 2017, he had beat Razvan Cojanu (Joseph Parker vs Razvan Cojanu) and Hughie Fury (Joseph Parker vs Hughie Fury). Whyte vs Parker is valid for the WBC Silver and vacant WBO International heavyweight titles. Watch the video and rate this fight!

FOTY! I give most credit to Whyte. Everytime he’s involved in a fight, you are certain to get you money’s worth (though thanks to ATBF we don’t get to pay!). He forced Parker to fight with all his heart (something I had never seen before).
This fight tells the story of a former World Champion, entering the ring confident he will overcome his opponent with great outboxing technique. But the latter happens to be a fierce and underrated contender who never leaves anything in the ring. Whyte used every trick in the book and it worked well from him (with some help by the referee who didn’t intervene much). By the end of the 11th round, we all knew anything could happen in the last 3 minutes. And it was crazy. Hats off to both men. Since both Wilder and Joshua are too busy right now, Whyte and Parker should fight again, and again.
The fight was class, hat video was terrible quality, with horrible repetitive music and too many adverts poster should be ashamed, utter bell end.
Whyte has some abilities but apparently has no ability to control his diet and appetite like far too many heavyweights today. At 258lbs. he’s carrying a good 35-40lbs. of straight up fat into the ring. Fat is not functional weight and he’s actually hindering his performances by being so heavy. It’s hard to believe that he was actually “only” 226lbs. at one point earlier in his career.
He’d be faster, more active and just better overall if he hired a nutritionist to help him get his weight under control. Nobody expects him to come into the ring shredded to the bone but if he came in at a more modest 230lbs. even that would be a big improvement. The way that he’s going 260lbs.+ is right around the corner.
Hearn and judges
i was disappointed with Parker – first half of the fight trying to make friends with Whyte. He obviously has the offensive skills – but wonder how a guy can get that far without defense and a warrior mental attitude. I haven’t seen his previous fights – will have to now – maybe he was just having an off night. I have no idea where his mind was at. Whyte did everything he was supposed to with his skill set. Thanks for posting.
