I thought this was a very good fight by two guys who have very good technical skills. Obviously Postol is 34 and not much for him to do anymore after Taylor took it to him in the latter rounds. The referee was also excellent allowing the fighters to fight and to fight out of clinches. Very good bout to watch. Thanks
Totally agree with all you’ve said there!
Obviously it was a payday for Postol. I wouldnt travel to UK if I knew I probably wouldnt score a knock out.
He couldnt get a decision against home fighter :)
Excellent and tactical fight between two very good technical boxers. Minimum 3 starts and luckily it could be up to 4 starts. Undoubtedly, Taylor was the right winner however, the judges cards do not reflex the reality of what had happened in the ring, too much points on Taylor’s favor which I call them as biased. I have Taylor winning for 115-112 , no way he won for 119-109. He was the better boxer in the last 4 rounds but before the fight was quite close with a slight difference in favor of Postol. Anyhow, Taylor fully deserves the victory, he is a very good an unpredictable boxer who was able to overcame the reach advantage and good jabbing work carried out by Postol.
Awful scorecards even though the right guy won. Judges were obviously paid off and had the scorecards made before the fight started. Postol never had a chance to win a decision in this one.
UK really takes care of their fighters! Did you notice the lopsided decision for the UK fighter in a really close fight?
