3 Star RatingReview by AllTheBestFights.com: 2017-11-04, good performance by both fighters: Michael Bisping vs Georges St Pierre gets three stars (UFC Performance of the Night).

The Ufc Mw champion Michael Bisping entered this fight with a professional record of 30-7-0 (67% finishing rate) and he is ranked as the No.1 middleweight in the world. He lost to Luke Rockhold in 2014 (=Rockhold vs Bisping I), but then he has won five bouts, three in 2016: against Anderson Silva (=Silva vs Bisping), taking revenge on Rockhold (=Rockhold vs Bisping 2) and beating Dan Henderson (=Bisping vs Henderson 2).
His opponent, the black belt in karate, Bjj, Gaidojutsu and former Ufc Ww champion Georges St Pierre, has an official record of 25-2-0 (52% finishing rate) but he is not ranked as he hasn’t fought since November 16, 2013 when he defeated Johny Hendricks (via split decision, St Pierre vs Hendricks). GSP lost to Matt Hughes in 2004 and with Matt Serra in 2007 but he took revenge with Hughes in 2007 and with Serra in 2008. Bisping vs St Pierre, main event of Ufc 217, is valid for the Ufc middleweight title (Bisping’s second defense). Watch the video and rate this fight!

  1. Great, great fight…fantastic back and forth action/momentum and an absolutely sweet finish.

My opinion though is that neither of these two guys is the best MW in the world, not by a long shot.

  2. Bisping’s a tough guy, but just doesn’t have enough skills and physical attributes to be on top. GSP is an all-time great, but man…

    • yes it’s true. Even if i didn t like st pierre’s way of combat, usually too boring, in this fight you can see a true champion GSP vs a fake champion, Bisping, who is just a good striker and very lucky when he beat rockhold that understimated him….then bisping didn’t deserve the win with anderson silva and won with an old dan henderson. I’m happy also about gsp’s victory because he is a true martial artist and athlete who always respects his opponents and don’t act like many champions of the last years…..

      • Good point. GSP doesn’t even know how to trash talk. He’s just a guy that takes his craft and profession as a fighter seriously.

  3. Kool fight…nothing unexpected occurred. Seems like they allowed this stoppage to go on far longer than the other finishes tonight. Bisping’s fightgame is trash IMO. Just a matter of time before he relinquished the belt…He knew it. Everyone knew it. Only thing we didn’t know was when & to whom…At least he got paid & had a brief moment in the sun.

  4. GSP still in shape and fighting great. An excellent submission which came just on time since his face was cut badly. All round were GSP only.

  5. Wonderful performance by GSP after being out of the octagon for 4 years … seems like he did keep training and getting better as he said .. but cardio seems to be an issue for GSP which we haven’t seen from him before … may be because of all the muscle he put on in the higher weight class …
