Review: 2000-08-19, exciting fight dominated by power punches, Naseem Hamed vs Augie Sanchez was certainly one of the Fights of the Year 2000. The “Prince” Naseem Hamed entered the fight with a perfect record of 34-0-0 while Augie Sanchez had a record of 26-1-0. Hamed was at his 15th defense of his WBO featherweight title while Sanchez was at his first attempt for a world title. Watch the video!

That’s how you KO. Sent out on his back! WOW!
Hamed had so much power, and his wild fighting stance made it even more of a factor. Great knockout.

wild stance, wild entrance, wild boxing style, wild guy…one of the greatest ever!!
I had never seen this one, Sanchez took a lot of punishment. One fight short of the devastating loss for Hamed. Merchant’s questions are as stupid as always.
What a fight! Hamed is always out of balance, I can’t believe he won, it’s also very true for a lot of his fights. Great entertainer though!
