Don’t miss this one, boxing friends. The very gifted if wild and raw Najmiddinov might just be the Uzbek Emmanuel Augustus. I’m sure he’d say, “No, I’m the Uzbek Roy Jones Jr., thank you very much.” He just might be right, but he’ll never find out if he doesn’t get some serious training to go with his lightning fast reflexes and unorthodox style.
What he’s able to do against the once-deadly Postol is entertaining in every single round. I was on my feet, wondering alternately if a star was born, if Postol is over the hill, or just when Najmiddinov was going to get his a*s kicked for trying the same lead left punch three times in a row, haha!
In any event, the judges appear to be firmly in the bag for the faded star, while the ref manages to overlook at least one knockdown in the first round and somehow stretches the rules to allow Victor to try to unscrew Najmiddinov’s head in the clinches. One of the most appalling and entertaining fights of the year!
not sure what fight you were watching but this was not entertaning at all, postal stalked naj retreated and would leap with i wiill say a quick overhand left that would meet its mark ocassionally he had no jab didnt work the body wasnt impressive at all.very raw room for improvement but not even close to be considered with roy jones and didnt see him hande postal at all other then the first round. sounds to me your not a postal fan or youra fan naj which of course from the sound of your comments is
