Joe Smith Jr should’ve got the shot at Stevenson not Fonfara, I mean Wtf has he done lately.
I’m searching hard and can’t find one thing this fight has proven. That Stevenson’s still got some great power? Hard to tell, since Fonfara’s jaw is no reliable standard. Stevenson has to fight Alvarez now… if not, his next opponent has got to be at least of one these: Kovalev, Ward, Smith or Beterbiev, otherwise he should be stripped from his belt. Haymon is not the president of the WBC as far as I know, right?…
Unfortunately, I think Haymon carries too much clout; afterall, Stevenson probably should’ve fought any one of these top guys like… 3 years ago.

Excellent punching accuracy and superior skills. It is about time to fight better competition. Regarding punching power as Olivier said below it is difficult to prove but may be isn’t as good as before since Stevenson connected several and very precise punches.
As they say, power is the last asset of a fighter to fade away with age.
