Target practice for the maestro.
A year since he had a live opponent (in the dull outing against Postol).
#1 vs #18 9or was it 16?)
What else did anyone expect?
His best win is still Gamboa and that w a swollen Gamboa – who is a natural 122 lbers.
Crawford is an exceptional but isnt living up to his potential.
This is a modern phenomenon that occurs daily in boxing. promoters wanting high return without the risk. So I am not 100% blaming Crawford as much as Arum BUT Lomachenko has proven it doesn’t have to be this way. He set demands on fighting the best and he got it.
Crawford is still fighting well below his natural weight.
think about it. 158 lbs for a 140 lbs fight. (yes Diaz was 2 lbs heavier BUT still is the smaller man) He should at least fighting at 147 minimum if not 154.
Funny that he called out an injured side lined fighter in
Thurman rather than the winner of next weekends fight between Brook and Spence. Which would be much more feasible given he the 2 week difference in currents fights.
I also do not see Crawford facing Indongo.
And if he does I will assume he will say it is for the IBF but then re-neg on 2nd day weigh in.
I believe you’re right on pretty much everything you said. Especially about Arum’s way of doing business, I think Crawford needed a spectacular win (read a “real” KO) against Diaz and he didn’t succeed at it. This victory won’t bring him any more money, fame or recognition. Arum and Crawford will never make the big dollars unless he beats a real big name. Indongo, besides being a very talented fighter is not a big name. Thurman is, so are Brook and Spence… But Arum said he’s planning to make Crawford fight at least 4 times a a year, so I guess we’ll have to wait for that kind of fight, sadly.
Yeah cute statement, no boxers fight at their natural weight and all of them fight below their natural weight. Lomo has an “L”, haven’t moved up multiple weight classes as of yet. Crawford best win is viktor postol who is a beast and Crawford moved up in weight and still beat him.
One of the best technician in the game!! Hands down. Put’em in there with them and he will beat’em. With skills or punching power. Lomo vs Crawford should happen!
