Both undefeated, the IBF super-Fw champion Gervonta Davis entered this fight with a perfect record of 17-0-0 (16 KOs=94%) and he is ranked as the No.10 super featherweight in the world (currently the #1 in this division is Vasyl Lomachenko) while his opponent, the 31-year-old Liam Walsh (9 years older than Davis), has a boxing record of 21-0-0 (14 knockouts) and he entered as the No.18 in the same weight class. Both boxers fought twice in 2016: Davis beat Guillermo Avila and Mario Antonio Macias while Walsh defeated Troy James and Andrey Klimov (=Walsh vs Klimov); the American has also fought once in 2017 winning over Jose Pedraza (=Pedraza vs Davis). Gervonta Davis vs Liam Walsh is valid for the IBF World super featherweight title (Davis’ first defense). Watch the video and rate this fight!

With those hands, an exciting rendezvous with Loma can not be terribly far off. Side note: Davis does the shoulder roll much better than Mayweather’s earlier protégé, Broner.
What the hell did Floyd say to the interviewer at ringside about his name? Anyone catch that?
For some reason Floyd wants to be called Floyd joy. From now on. Who k is hy
Yep! I’m so impressed by this kid. He was very slick and entertaining in his last two fights and I’m thrilled by the power he’s shown with both hands. Too soon for Loma, but it will happen eventually for sure. This will be an extremely interesting match up since one thing I appreciate a lot from Davis is his work on the inside… he’s so effective. He lowers his body by bending his knees, then he moves aside creating angles doing so and he’s so fast and elusive. I tell you… he might be on his way to become one of my favorite fighters out there!;) A good matchup at this point for him would be against Walters in my opinion.
Great idea, Olivier. Can’t wait to see him fight again.
