2 Star RatingReview by AllTheBestFights.com: 2016-12-10, pretty boring fight between Luis Ortiz and David Allen: it gets two stars.

The former interim Wba champion Luis Ortiz entered this fight with a perfect boxing record of 26-0-0 (22 KOs=85%) and he is ranked as the No.1 heavyweight in the world. He has fought twice in 2016 defeating Tony Thompson (=Ortiz vs Thompson) and Malik Scott (=Ortiz vs Scott).
His opponent, David Allen, has an official record of 9-1-1 (6 knockouts) and he entered as the No.82 in the same weight class. He has also fought twice in 2016 beating Jason Gavern and losing to Dillian Whyte. Ortiz vs Allen is on the undercard of Anthony Joshua vs Eric Molina. Watch the video and rate this fight!

  1. Interesting bout between an experience boxer against to a young guy with a very particular fighting style. David did quite well on the early rounds frustrating Ortiz because he was not able to caught him in spite of exercising full aggression. Anyhow, Ortiz gained confidence in the second half and his experience prevailed connecting good and strong punches that caught the referee attention who decided to stop the fight I guess prematurely. I don’t understand why Ortiz, being No. 1 (???), did a fight at 8 rounds only fighting a guy with very low experience but good enough to reach up to the 7th round.

  2. No 1 in the heavyweight division? Did Tyson Fury, Wladimir Klitschko, and Deontay Wilder all suddenly died at the same time?

  3. This fight could feature on STARS IN THEIR EYES -a total spectacle or a roundhouse pub fighter against a supposed Number One ranked boxer acting out a boxing match. Compare this with Whyte versus Chisora. No contest?
