  1. Whoa what a devastating body shot! I give a lot of credit to Smith for making it a good fight though, his defense helped him survive in there and he gave a stiff opposition. Canelo’s shoulders looked so much broader than Smith, it is time to step up in weight and challenge GGG! De la Hoya says there is a 10M+ offer on the table for GGG.

As for Smith, I think he gained more than he lost with this courageous performance. :)

    • You are quite right about Liam’s performance. He was really brave after receiving the first body punch that knocked him down. On the other hand, and in spite of being an excellent boxer, I don’t see Canelo as a winner if he confronts GGG. Actually he is a destroying machine impossible to beat.

      • Hmmm that is so much of an intriguing match-up. I hope they make it soon. I understand that boxing is a business, but both have made a lot of $$$$ and will make even more with this fight. Give the fans what they want, don’t you agree? :)

        • Matt, of course I agree because it may be the fight of the year and all the fans deserve that. However, I like Canelo so much that watching him loosing isn’t going to be easy for me. I’m also a good fan of GGG so what a dilemma!!!

          • Yep, that is the fight the world wants to see! BTW, it’s the first time I disagree with the community’s scoring of a fight, I thought people would vote higher than 3 stars.

  2. A really entertaining fight between two boxers with very good technical qualifications.
However, from the very beginning Canelo took the lead displaying a sound jab work which combined with excellent hooks and uppercuts. Liam was able to react to such attack only after the second round putting a good fight till the very end of the bout. Anyhow Canelo was technically superior and proved once again to be a powerful and precise puncher who ended the fight with an excellent knock out.

  3. Thunderous Body Blows! Best I’ve seen in quite sometime. Head shots did some damage but the body blows finished him off. Canelo vs GGG OH I CANT WAIT!
