Highlights
Not sure whats up with the video posted. Guess it isnt a video…
Never scene either guy fight.
Boesel looks to have fast hands and good feet.
Liebau might be a case of “those were set ups son. Set ups”
Boesel possible candidate for Wards next outing?
Boesel will be a mandatory for Kovalev, according to a passing mention in this link at Boxing Scene. He needs a few more fights, I think. Either older fighter — the monster Kovalev or the slick Ward — will derail his young career. That would be a shame, as he looks promising.
It’s about time Kov and Ward fought each other, isn’t it?

Good fight! Didn’t know these two, but they put on a great show with quite a fast pace for LHWers. I thought Liebau was very good in the first half of the fight, but after what seemed to be a breather for both fighters in the 7th, Boesel came back strong in the 8th and took control of the fight from that point. The kd came out as a surprised, seemed like Liebau totally ran out of gas. Worth watching!
Well said, Olivier! Enjoyable fight and not at all the outcome I was expecting. Liebau’s bombs and high KO percentage had me favoring him at the midpoint. As you say, he looked gassed in the second half while Boesel only came on stronger. Both men exhibited some nice form, but Boesel looks like one to watch in the future.
