kauffman was robbed, i hope they give him a second chance
I had Kaufman winning by a slight margin.
I wonder if this will be disputed.
Boooooh!!!! @danielsan23:disqus @disqus_1hsDbqMNzz:disqus I had a score of 116-112 Kauffman, giving a round even. It was a great fight, very entertaining, but a robbery in my view too.
At least it made us discover Kauffman, whose camp should be very angry at this.
I don’t see Kauffman reaching a higher ranking in the HW division anyway.
I don’t see to much future for Kauffman either.
He did better than Arreola in this fight but he is out of shape and a short boxer for nowadays standards in this catrgory.
I wouldn’t say Kauffman was “robbed” since many rounds were quite close. I had it 115-113 for him though.
But anyway, I’m sick of Arreola. Here’s a guy who once was a #1 HW contender and now look at him… he doesn’t look much dedicated to boxing. Doing just the minimum to get a tight decision against a B-class fight. I can’t remember after which fight it was, I think it was after his loss against Klitschko… he was crying like a baby saying: “No more BBQs… no more coronas…”… Yeah, right.
Olivier, I guess you answered to the wrong guy. I was the one i said “robbed” and i still believe this is the case since you confirmed you saw him winning too.
Technically speaking, it doesn’t matter if a rob is dealing with just pennies or many dollars and/or any other thing, still is considered a rob. This fight was close and we all agree on that. So it was a rob of “just pennies” :-) but no nice at all for Kauffman. Two of those judges involved don’t do deserve such position.
Well, I don’t think the “money analogy” fully applies here, with all due respect. To me, this fight was close enough to be called a draw. I when my (very subjective) scorecard gives the fight to one fighter by a round or two, I can assume that one judge might call it a draw or even a win for the other guy. More like the principle of a margin of error, again assuming that there are biases in my own judgment too.
Very bad decision from the judges the clear winner here was Kauffman a better technical boxer than Arreola. The fight was close but Kauffman was robbed.
Arreola may still do some money with his career but a fight for a title is over for him. If he gets such opportunity his chances to win with such a good competition now are negligible.
Just watched it. Pretty sure Kaufman won that fight.
