This was the fight of the night! Granados was unrelenting in his assaults. Don King had said before the fight that Imam should face Mayweather lol he was shooting a little high.

Imam gets the sh*t pounded out of him and commentator goes ”Good round for Imam!” HAHAHA!
Good fight! Another huge surprise!… or was it really?
Imam came out in the first round as I expected, very slick and confident, as usual but then after that…. plain nothing. At some point, I even wondered if Imam’s left hand wasn’t broken or something like that, because usually his hitman style serves him so well… but last saturday night, his jab was simply nonexistant. All he did was pushing Granados with his left arm unfold. In my opinion, the referee could have warned him and eventually deducted point(s), but the same goes for Granados’ headbutting. Anyway… Granados fought like a true warrior, he cut the ring and chased Imam relentlessly. And after the 7th round, it was just a matter of time before the fight would be stopped.
After the fight, I had a closer look at Granados’ record, and this is when I realized I had been fooled by the numbers. Three out of the four Granados’ losts were against undefeated fighters. Brad Solomon (still undefeated), Felix Diaz (who’s recently lost his first fight in a controversial decision against Lamont Peterson) and Frankie Gomez (still undefeated)! Also, one of Granados’ draw was against the very well known veteran Kermit Cintron. His other draw was against some Lanardo Tyner, a tough guy who lost decisions to Antonio DeMarco, Dierry Jean, Jess Vargas, Kevin Bizier, Wale Omotoso and none other than Saul Alvarez. So truly, Granados is not club fighter, and I’m looking foward to his next fight. A very aggressive and entertaining fighter.

Iman had to be set to fire or even jab so Granados never really let him do that after 1st.
Now Granados needs to watch videos of Joe Frazier.
Also needs to get GGG to show him how to control a guy via head pivot.

A really nice match plenty of action due to a very aggressive boxer. After the first round and surviving a though knockdown, Granados was intelligent enough to engage a better boxer in his plan in spite of Iman being taller and with a significant reach advantage. Granados isn’t the best technician but has a big heart and a lot of initiative. The referee hasn’t other choice than to stop the fight to protect Iman due to the high volume of power punches connected by Granados. Anyhow a surprising victory and well deserved
