The two time K-1 World MAX champion Buakaw Banchamek, formerly known as Buakaw Por Pramuk, entered this fight with a professional kickboxing record of 263-42-12 (68 knockouts) and he is ranked as the No.5 super welterweight in the world. He suffered his last defeat in 2014 when he faced Enriko Kehl in the final of the K-1 World MAX (controversial ending, Buakaw vs Kehl 2) but after this bout he has won four consecutive fights beating the Shaolin kung-fu fighter Yi Long in his last one (=Buakaw vs Yi Long).
His opponent, Artem Pashporin, has an official record of 35-5-0 (7 knockouts) and he entered as the No.20 in the same weight class. Good fight between experience and a guy trying hard to overcome it. Buakaw is fighting with though opposition on his latest fights. However he still has the fire that made him one of the top 10 fighters in his category because never allow the action to decay and his desire of winning is still intact. He really fight with proud.
