Fight rated 3 stars by AllTheBestFights.comReview: 2014-07-26, good fight between Gennady Golovkin and Daniel Geale: it gets three stars. The undefeated Gennady Golovkin entered this fight with a perfect record of 29-0-0 (26 KOs=90%) and he is ranked as the No.1 middleweight in the world, he has already fought in 2014 beating Osumanu Adama in February (=Golovkin vs Adama).
His opponent, Daniel Geale, has an official record of 30-2-0 (16 knockouts) and he entered as the No.5 in the same weight class, the only two fights he lost were world title bouts and he was defeated via split decision: against Anthony Mundine in 2009 (4-stars-figt Mundine vs Geale) and against Darren Barker in 2013 (=Geale vs Barker); he came back to victory in 2014 beating Garth Wood (=Geale vs Wood). ‘GGG’ Golovkin vs Geale is valid for the IBO and WBA Super World middleweight titles (both belts held by Golovkin). 1. better performance by GGG than against Adama but I don’t understand Geale’s behaviour: he was fighting for two world belts and after the first time he goes down he doesn’t want to fight anymore?!?!?
Anyway….Golovkin vs Cotto would be a fantastic fight, but i think Cotto will lose, GGG is “the one”…

  2. “TRIPLE G” ACTUALLY TAKES THE “HEART” OUT OF ANYONE HE FIGHTS—GEALE ACTUALLY FOUGHT HIS FIGHT BUT IT WAS NOT ENOUGH—GEALE HAS FOUGHT FELIX STURM, ANTHONY MUNDINE AND BEAT THEM—GAVE BARKER A HARD FIGHT IN LOSING YET HE COULD NOT HANDLE THE “MIDDLEWEIGHT WRECKING MACHINE” GENNADY—IMAGINE GETTING HIT HARD BY A RIGHT HAND AND “COUNTERING” WITH YOUR OWN AND SCORING A KNOCKOUT—THAT’S GENNADY—HE NOW WANTS MIGUEL COTTO IN A UNIFICATION—THIS WILL BE A “WAR OF THE LAST MAN STANDING”—AFTER COTTO THERE IS CANELO OR MAYBE MARTINEZ—THERE REALLY ISN’T ANYONE ELSE—CHAVEZ JR CANNOT MAKE THE WEIGHT—THERE IS MARCO ANTONIO RUBIO TOUGH VETERAN MIDDLEWEIGHT WHO HAS BEEN AROUND A LONG TIME MAY BE A CHALLENGE FOR TRIPLE G—I DON’T WANT TO SEE 3G GO UP TO 168 TO CHALLENGE ANDRE WARD–LEAVE THAT TO CHAVEZ,JR.—WHAT DO YOU THINK?

  3. Cant wait to see golovkin vs cotto hope it happens. Cotto in my mind would have good chance to take him the distance hes also faught big fighters like mayweather before this not going to be easy for golovkin

Watch the replay. He could barely stand and not in one spot. He knew it. That is a smart fighter.

I actually expected this to go further.
    Very good showing.

I do not see Cotto or his people taking this fight. They will capitalize of his last win with a “mega fight”. More than likely Canello. Which I can see him winning.

  5. Why is everyone wants GGG to move up to 168 and fight Ward?
I never once heard anyone say Ward should move up and fight Kovalev ? Or Move down and fight …
    Ridiculous
