Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic entered this fight with a professional kickboxing record of 22-7-0 and he is ranked as the No.6 heavyweight in the world, he comes off 10 consecutive wins (he suffered his last kickboxing defeat in 2001 losing to Michael McDonald) and last year he won the K-1 WGP heavyweight title beating Ismael Londt in the final (=Filipovic vs Londt).
His opponent, Remy Bonjasky, has an official record of 77-18-0 and he entered as the No.11 in the same weight class, he comes off three consecutive defeats but his last fight against Anderson ‘Braddock’ Silva ended in a controversial decision (=Bonjasky vs Silva 2).In the firs fight between Cro Cop and Bonjasky the Croatian defeated Remy by tko (on June 14, 2002), this second fight is the main event of Glory 14 Zagreb.
