Review: 2014-01-02, good fight but bad referee: Lee Selby vs Rendall Munroe gets three stars. Lee Selby entered this fight with a professional boxing record of 17-1-0 (6 knockouts) and he is ranked as the No.14 featherweight in the world, he suffered his only defeat in 2009 against Samir Mouneimne at his fifth pro fight, so he comes off 13 consecutive wins.
Rendall Munroe has an official record of 27-3-1 (11 knockouts) and he entered as the No.44 in the same weight class, two out off his three defeats occurred in world title fights, the first shot against Toshiaki Nishioka in 2010 and the second one to Scott Quigg during their rematch in 2012 (=Quigg vs Munroe 2). Selby vs Munroe is valid for the vacant EBU (European) and BBBofC British featherweight titles (British title held by Selby). Watch the video and rate this fight!

WTF was this ref thinking when he stepped in to stop this?
One of the WORST stoppages. Guy wasn’t hurt or even getting hit cleanly.
Not that I thought he had a chance but still. Home cooking here.
that was bullshhhh…

Nice fight but very bad stoppage since Munroe was not hurt. However Selby fully deserves the win because he dominated the full fight in spite of being the right hand boxer. He is very fast and connected several an excellent body punches.
