THE WORST SCORECARDS IVE EVER COME ACROSS IN THIS SPORT .
VLASOV WIN THAT FIGHT WITH EASE .
NOTHING CLOSER THAN 8 – 4 AND THATS ME BEING KIND . 10-2 MORE LIKELY ..
DAM FEEL BAD FOR HIM
Excellent fight! I have a lot to say about this FOTYC.
I had it 115-113 Vlasov, with a 10-8 round for Smith in the 11th. For most of the fight, I felt Vlasov was the aggressor, had the best ring generalship and landed the most powershots. Smith did land the most significant shots though, but they were too sparse.
About the the 11th round. Smith was going for the kill and he was very close to getting it. Vlasov was about to go down because of exhaustion and accumulation of punching just when the referee called a break, Smith having hit Vlasov behind the head, a common foul. At that moment exactly, Vlasov took knee. On the break. So it’s kind of a smart move by him, even though it’s not very crowd pleasing. The referee treated this situation as a ”major” foul, as if Vlasov had been hit with a nasty low blow for example, giving the latter up to five minutes to recuperate. I thought it was very generous of him! Especially considering there was only a few seconds left in the round and Smith was on a roll. On top of this, he didn’t send Vlasov to the neutral corner. Wow.
But anyway, as I said, I still had Vlasov winning with this round being a 10-8. So… it is what it is.
Hope there was a rematch clause! :)
