It’s a wonder that the commentators could speak when they have Canelo’s d*ck in their mouths. In the early part of the fight round four was the first round that Canelo decisively won. Yet the commentator said of Smith “he had better start winning rounds now”.
Licences are required for boxers, trainers and judges or any other personnel in the ring. I am of the firm opinion that announcers should also be licenced, As it is, any hockey, basketball, soccer, rugby or golf announcer is entitled to call a fight when they either don’t have a clue or lean heavily towards the ‘A’ side fighter.
Terrific body shots from Canelo.
Canelo had a plan to wear Smith down with multiple power shots.
He was totally unfazed by Smiths weak jabs, Smith was lucky to throw ten decent shots in the whole fight. His height appeared, in this fight, to be a decided disadvantage as he appeared unable to put real power into his shots by getting his body weight behind them. He certainly put his best foot forward and congratulations for that however Canelo was just too strong. I believe that a rematch would see the same result within a shorter number of rounds. Great fight!
Two boxers from a different league, a pro and the other just like a beginner. For Canelo was a walking in the park since it was no opposition at all, he was by far superior. Canelo was much more accurate, better jabbing and defensive skills, and from the very beginning the full time aggressor. In spite an abysmal height difference he was the best in the ring as usual. Surprised that Smith didn’t almost used his jab and his height to impose and control the pace of this fight. The judge that scored 117-111 was blind or biased.
